PIT AND FISSURE SEALANTS
BOARD APPROVED COURSE PF144 ($450)
This is a two Saturdays, 16-Hour course.
This is a Dental Board of California approved course that meets the requirements for California licensed Registered Dental Assistants (RDAs) to be able to perform Pit and Fissure Sealant applications in their dental offices.
FEE:
$450.00 The tuition fee Includes all supplies, materials, equipment, tools, handouts, etc. for course completion except for PPE.
WHAT TO BRING:
- Copy of RDA License
- Copy of current CPR Card from approved AHA or ARC providers
- Copy of Hepatitis B Immunization Record
- Copy of Infection Control Certificate
- Copy of Coronal Polishing Card
- PPE
It is the responsibility of the candidates to bring their own PPE (Head Caps, Disposable Gowns, KN95 Masks, ASTM Level III Masks, Face Shields, Gloves, etc.). A candidate who has incomplete PPE will not be allowed to perform clinical procedures.
PROGRAM:
- Theoretical classes and written exam on the first day.
- Lab exercises on mounted typodont mannequins.
- Clinical application of pit and fissure sealants on 16 virgin (un-restored, decay-free) posterior teeth on live patients no younger than 12 years old. Each patient must have a minimum of one qualified tooth per quadrant. One patient will be graded for final exams.
- It is the candidates’ responsibility to bring their own patients.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
The fee for this board approved Pit and Fissure Sealant Course is $450.
Part of the fee is a NON-REFUNDABLE processing fee of $50.
Any cancellations, regardless of reason, TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO THE START OF THE CLASS WILL RECEIVE NO REFUNDS WHATSOEVER AND THE ENTIRE PAYMENT IS FORFEITED.
